Water Management Meeting 
 
Next Meeting
The next water management (formerly drought management) meeting is scheduled to 
be held on 11 March 2003 at the Falls Lake Visitor's Assistance Center starting 
promptly at 10 am and is expected to end at noon.
 
Mr. Robert Erhardt, Jr., meteorologist with the Mobile, Alabama Corps of Engineers 
Office will do a briefing of expected weather conditions over the next few months
in the southeastern United States focusing on North Carolina and Virginia.
 
A briefing on the upcoming Section 216 Study for John H. Kerr is also planned.
 
Following the Section 216 Study update will be an update on the status and progress of the
Bi-State Commission by Mr. Bob Lindsay with the Roanoke River Basin Association.
 
The last agenda item will be a status of river flows, reservoir inflows and anticipated 
plans of operation at W. Kerr Scott, B. Everett Jordan, Falls Lake, Philpott and John H. Kerr
Reservoir.  The latest River Forecast Center Extended (Ensemble) Streamflow Prediction (ESP)
runs forecasting inflows into Jordan, Philpott and Kerr Reservoir will be released in early 
March and will also be discussed and analyzed.
